What types of doors and windows does Avora offer?

Do you serve both residential and commercial clients?

Yes. We work with homeowners, interior designers, architects, general contractors, and commercial developers. Our products are suited for both residential remodels and large commercial projects.

Products & Sizing

Are your doors and windows custom-sized?

Yes. Most of our door and window systems are available in custom sizes to fit your opening exactly. Standard sizes are also available for common opening dimensions.

What is a thermally broken aluminum frame?

A thermal break is a strip of low-conductivity material (typically polyamide) inserted between the inner and outer aluminum profiles. This reduces heat transfer through the frame, improving energy efficiency and reducing condensation.

What hardware do you use?

We use German multi-point locking systems and precision European hinges. These hardware systems are designed for thousands of open/close cycles and provide superior security compared to single-point locks.

What is the difference between bi-fold doors and panoramic doors?

Bi-fold doors fold accordion-style to one side. Panoramic doors operate differently — each panel can pivot, and they stack to either side or to both sides simultaneously, allowing a completely open wall with no track obstructions.

What is a tilt-and-turn window?

A tilt-and-turn window opens two ways: it tilts inward from the top for ventilation, or turns inward like a door for full-width access and cleaning. This is a standard window type throughout Europe.

What is a pass-through window?

A pass-through window (also called a serving window) slides open between two spaces — typically between a kitchen and an outdoor patio, or a bar and a seating area. It can include a countertop ledge for serving.

Ordering & Installation

How long does it take to receive an order?

Lead times vary by product and configuration. Contact your local showroom for current production and delivery timelines.

Do your products meet US energy codes?

Our thermally broken aluminum systems are designed to meet or exceed common energy code requirements. Specific performance ratings are available per product line — contact us for documentation.

Maintenance & Warranty

How do I maintain aluminum doors and windows?

Aluminum frames require minimal maintenance. Clean with mild soap and water. Lubricate hinges and locking mechanisms with a dry or silicone-based lubricant annually. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Are your products covered by a warranty?

Yes. Contact us for specific warranty terms by product line.
